bedroom needs #2

days goes by so fast as we all know and now it's almost december already and we all know that it's getting cold already while the winter season is so near. right now, having this cold weather makes my feet hurts for the reasn that i had an accident last year fracturing both of my ankles and because of that now i have a permanent arthritis! so when it's cold my feet hurt so bad that my son teases me that im a penguin! lol! so, one thing that i need in my room since im fixing it is a porable heater, so i strated looking for it by going online and i see it at walmart where me and my family usually buy stuff for home in bulks! so then i see this...

Royal Sovereign Portable Electronic Air Conditioner and Heater

10,000 BTUs for cooling
11,000 BTUs for heating
12-hour timer
2-speed fan
Sleep mode feature
Easy to clean washable air filter
Cools up to 400 sq. ft.
Includes 5-foot ventilation hose and window installation kit

so i decided to put this on my list for my bedroom and since it's 2-in-1 it will be great for me and my kiddo for the room... Heater for winter and Aircondition for summer! but i still need to adjust my budget for this one because it's expensive!

black friday...shoppping time!

November 23 is almost near and everybody knows what it is on that day! It is what we call “Black Friday.” Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when major retailers around the country discount products to help kick off the Christmas shopping season. And one of the good questions that my cousin asked me is that “why is it called Black Friday?” well, all I know why it is called black Friday is because of the early morning shoppers waits in line or some of them goes to the store the night before the store opens and there they are outside the store having a sleep-over while they save their line just to get inside the store first for the stuff they wanted. But there are other ways to go shopping rather than sleeping outside the store until it opens in the morning. This Black Friday, ads are usually kept secret until you receive the circulars in your Thanksgiving Day newspaper. However at Black Friday they give you the advantage by showing you all of the Black Friday 2007 ads before anyone else. They also offer direct links to each product so you can purchase the items online on Black Friday without having to stand in line at the store for hours.

thanksgiving day...flip style!

In 3 more days its Thanksgiving time!

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is a traditional North American Holiday to give thanks to the Judeo-Christian God at the conclusion of the harvest season. Canada celebrates Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October and the United States celebrates the holiday on the fourth Thursday of November.
In the United States Thanksgiving is a four day weekend which usually marks a pause in school and college calendars. Thanksgiving meals are traditionally family events where certain kinds of food are served. First and foremost, turkey is the featured item in most Thanksgiving feasts (so much so that Thanksgiving is sometimes called "Turkey Day"). stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry juice, corn, turnips, yams and pumpkin pie are commonly associated with Thanksgiving dinner.

But we all know that if it’s holiday for us Filipinos, these food are not enough; but ofcourse it’s not just your family who’s having dinner, friends and extended families are always invited so aside from this food we always associated it with ofcourse our own thanksgiving food like Pancit, lumpia, BBQ’s, white or fried rice, and instead of cranberry juice the main drink for us is soda and the most important thing that I know everyone can’t celebrate without is the “liquor” yeah! It’s part of any holiday celebration. Then after having a dinner is where really the party begins! Drinking, karaoke with magic sing, chismis, poker, and more drinking till you get drunk.
Well this is how we celebrate holidays…Filipino style!

bedroom needs #1

MY OLD FRIDGE!

one of my projects right now is fixing my bedroom and changing all the stuff in it! and one of the things that i need to buy is a refrigerator for my bedroom. i used to have one in my bedroom but i have to give it out because it's old, small and it is starting to rust and stink already! Either the trash recycle or the "by the street" it will end up! so i just put it by the street bec. i know someone will took it,some people are willing to take it bec. it's free and its not even in that bad condition at all!

so i went to walmart a local shopping store here near my place and i see this cute Haier Refrigerator that i know it will really fit in my bedroom theme & space.

4.4 cubic foot capacity
Dual dispensers for can storage
Two full-width wire shelves
One full-width door shelf
Two liter bottle storage
Full-width freezer compartment with ice cube tray
Reversible door
Adjustable thermostat
Recessed door handle
Space saving, flat back design
Security lock and key
Adjustable leveling legs
Manual defrost Model HSE04WNCSS

The modern design and compact size of this 4.4 cubic foot refrigerator from Haier is designed for a dorm room, office or rec room but for me its for my bedroom. Inside the stainless steel door, dual can dispensers hold twelve canned beverages, while the full-width door shelf stores 2 liter bottles. Plus, the freezer compartment is full width. There's even a lock and key to prevent someone from raiding!

this is the right bedroom refrigerator for me! im not being stinggy but i really do need this because of our roommate steeling my food and drinks and imagine drinking my son's fresh milk and almost finishing it?! who wouldn't get pissed! that's why this is the perfect for my bedroom!

wow! Philippines

The only place on earth where......
Every street has a basketball court.
Even doctors, lawyers and engineers are unemployed.
Doctors study to become nurses for employment abroad.
Students pay more money than they will earn afterwards.
School is considered the second home and the mall considered the third.
Call-center employees earn more money than teachers and nurses.
Everyone has his personal ghost story and superstition.
Mountains like Makiling and Banahaw are considered holy places.
Everything can be forged.
All kinds of animals are edible.
Starbucks coffee is more expensive than gas.
Driving 4 kms can take as much as four hours.
Flyovers bring you from the freeway to the side streets.
Crossing the street involves running for your dear life.
The personal computer is mainly used for games and Friendster.
Where colonial mentality is dishonestly denied!
Where 4 a.m. is not even considered bedtime yet.
People can pay to defy the law.
Everything and everyone is spoofed.
Where even the poverty-stricken get to wear Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger (peke)!
The honking of car horns is a way of life.
Being called a bum is never offensive.
Floodwaters take up more than 90 percent of the streets during the rainy season.
Where everyone has a relative abroad who keeps them alive.
Where wearing your national colors make you baduy.
Where even the poverty-stricken have the latest cell phones. (GSM-galing sa magnanakaw)Where insurance does not work.
Where water can only be classified as tap and dirty - clean water is for sale (35 pesos per gallon).
Where the government makes the people pray for miracles. (Amen to that!)
Where University of the Philippines is where all the weird people go.
Ateneo is where all the nerds go.
La Salle is where all the Chinese go.
and University of Asia and the Pacific is where all the irrelevantly rich people go.
Fast food is a diet meal.
Traffic signs are merely suggestions, not regulations.
Where being mugged is normal. It happens to everyone.
Rodents are normal house pets.
The definition of traffic is the 'non-movement' of vehicles.
Where the fighter planes of the 1940s are used for military engagements, and the new fighter planes are displayed in museums.
Where cigarettes and alcohol are a necessity, and where the lottery is a commodity.
Where soap operas tell the realities of life and where the news provides the drama.
Where actors make the rules and where politicians provide the entertainment.
People can get away with stealing trillions of pesos, but not a thousand.
Where being an hour late is still considered punctual.(Grabe talaga 'to!)
Where the squatters have more to complain (even if they do not pay their taxes) ---- than those employed and have their tax automatically deducted from their salaries.... and where everyone wants to leave the country!
According to Manila businessman, Tonyboy Ongsiako, there is so much wit in the Philippines because we are a country where a good sense of humor is needed to survive.
We have a 24-hour comedy show here called the government and a huge reserve of comedians made up mostly of politicians and bad actors.
Now, where else in the world would one want to live?

deadly colds

As the weather here turns cold and nearing the winter season, lots of people are getting sick especially kids and older people. Fever, flu & colds are very common at this time. people are going to their doctors for flu shots even though they’re not sick, they say this helps them to prevent getting flu since it’s a flu season. Now aside from avoiding having flu is really preventing having a cold, a common cold that is deadly! As I watch the news last night they reported this Amino Virus just said to be a common cold at first and afterwards it’s deadly. it was reported that at least several people already died with this so called colds across the U.S. now officials are making sure that this wont spread anymore and I’m not really sure if it’s airborne or not. So be careful not to get sick! Just eat well and drink lots of fluids...it will really help!

speaker lamp

i was in my bedroom and looking around it and felt like it need some remodeling and decorations coz for me it feels like its not cozy & stylish. so made some thinking that im gonna change my bedroom into the bedroom that i really like. i got alot of plans and stuff that i need and wrote it down and shockingly its gonna be so damn expensive for me! but i know its gonna be lovely eventhough my room is not so big! and adding some surround system is one of my plan. so i decided to check out on some home theatre system and i found this awesome thing! its a speaker lamp. wow! i loved it the first time i saw it yet another expensive stuff for me! the Soundolier DUO Wireless Speaker Lamp is cool coz its 2 in 1 no need for me to make holes on the wall or make alot of space for it. i love it but i think it can wait since my priority right now is to buy my comfy mattress, a xmas gift for myself! hay...i hope that the matress is on sale so i can have an extra money for some other stuff that i need to buy esp. my son's mini electric toy car! hay!

lions for lambs...for me its just a nice movie not an awesome one! i just watched it earlier and maybe for other its boring coz its a documentary and political thriller movie but for me this movie is well said & shown. well done! simple yet outstanding movie that would make you realize alot of things about what's really going on with our society, our government esp. those troops who risk their lives just to have peace! sucks that people really sacrifice their lives for something they really believe in yet never achieved. i wish someday everything will end up as we all hope for!

oohhh...i wet myself!

Oct. 31st ...but ofcourse its halloween time! last night was the awaited trick or treat time for kids, teens & i guess some adults too but for me and my son is not! well, we love halloween but since my kiddo was born we dont go out to go trick or treating for the reason that my kid is so scared of masks or anything that looks creepy, so instead of us staying at home and giving some candies to other kids i just decided to bring matthew to the Pumpkin Station by Plaza Bonita Mall near my place. Pumpkin station is like a farm canival just for little kids. it has kiddie rides, kiddie games, giant inflatable slides and petting zoo.

this is the pix that everytime my son looks at it he always say "oohhh...i wet myself!" lol!

wel speaking of rides, one of the kiddie ride there is a mini boat, a funny thing happened was that we were waiting outside for the ride to stop so that my kiddo can ride it. wel we were only 1 whos in line waiting, then when the guy who operates the boat started to get the ticket so my kiddo just went in and so eager to ride it he never thought that there was a water so he just climb in and there he just soaked his right foot into the freezing water! funny thing was when his foot got soaked he froze like an ice for couple of seconds coz he was shocked i guess because the water was so damn cold but that wet pants, shoe and sock didnt stop him from ridding that boat so he just climb in as f like nothing happened and we were laughin' so hard that even that cute operator guy laughed out load with us.
